The MAJOR DONORS APPRECIATION RECEPTION is held annually to thank contributors who have given $500.00 or more to the amount awarded for scholarships. The event also kicks-off the Planned Giving Campaign for the next year. The Major Donor program is essential to maintaining the core of the Foundation's funding.

Event Characteristics

In the fall of each year the founder of The Hord Foundation, Mr. Noel Hord, hosts a brunch at his home to personally thank individuals for their level of contribution to The Foundation. The event includes: refreshments, entertainment, addresses by the founder and the chairman of the Board of Trustees. A celebrity guest is also in attendance to acknowledge donors and encourage increased giving.
